Just curious to see what breed of vehicle people would want.

For myself i would want a Chevy 3500 HD 4x4 with a custom flat-bed.

Nothin wrong w/ that Landrover, mighty fine vehicles! Not sure how well they'd pull a trailer loaded down with round bales, but I won't judge, they are great machines!!!

My mate put 8 round bales behind his landrover and that only a 3 ltr v6. \mine would have to be the ultimate toyota hilux 1997ish year wise. we have one and its the best thing we have ver had for doing what it does.

DAMN STRAIGHT PLAYER!

Yeh.

I kinda like to go for a machine which has the looks, performance, reliability etc. hence my RR 4.4i choice, awesome car. I originally thought this thread was for farm vehicles only.

Mrk 6 Golf R would be lovely, however your looking at 35k for a decent specced one! Surprised

idk if youve ever rode in the new ones or have one. but the guy i stay with over the summer bought an 09 chevy 1500, extended cab, black, 4x4, V8, all the fixins. it, to this day, has an un explained creek(like old age creek) in the front end. we have been under it 1,000 times spraying silicone on everything that moves. it will go away for a day, then come back. the bed is about 1/8- 1/16 inch thick sheet metal. if you tap on the side the whole thing makes a "DONG" sound. the only thing im impressed with is the power it has. it looks good. but quality sucks. and the dome overhead light in the cab rattles. i know this because i have stuck my hand on it while i was driving and the sound went away. plus, they brought out 17 inch wheels on the 09's so this retired farmers truck sits waaaaay up in the air. the way the fenders are designed if you hit the smallest puddle it will throw mud allllllllll over the side of the truck. we spent $600 to make this thing functional after we bought. but running boards, huuuuge mud flaps, and bug and rain gaurds for the hood and windows. not to mention the interior, the back seat has 10(no joking) different levels on the floor. the floor doesnt even have enough level space to put your feet. AND, if there arent any running boards on a truck you can see the entire frame and stickers on the frame from the factory. the exhaust is shaped like a funnel and you can see half of it when your standing next to the truck. the tailgate, when its down, sits at chest level for me(im 5'8"). so in no way can you even work on a chainsaw or part in the feild on this thing. there are 20 other things i can mention about this truck. and, when you are driving at night, all the buttons on the drivers door just have a little blue light, there is no way of telling what they are for, u just have to press and hope you hit the right thing. in my opinion, this is a pi$$ poor truck. bad design, bad manufactoring. especially when it was valued at $35,000. and i can only imagine that the duallys are worse. the guys cousin has an 08 2500(they put 16 inch wheels on it) and it is equally unimpressive.

Huh, we have an 08 1500 and it is quiet as can be with plenty of power. Either way all my whole family on both mom and dads side have ever owned is Chevy and i aint gonna be different. My grandpa used to work for Chevy to. I aint gonna go out and buy a piece of Jap Sh!t either (sorry if that offends anyone). Nobody really builds a truck to fit every purpose though. It would be nice if you could walk into a dealer way you want this size truck with this motor, this transmission, this lift, these shocks, this bed, Heavy tow package, and so on. But that aint ever gonna happen.
