Here you can list your name, email address, homepage, skype, facebook, or any other information which you would like to post.

It is also recommended that you tell everyone about about yourself, perhaps where you grew up, what schools or colleges you attend, jobs, when you started playing ST, how your life relates to farming, etc. You can write as long or as short as you like, its up to you what you put here.

Keep in mind all info you post here is visible to everyone.

Moderators please leave this post alone and possibly give a sticky, its purpose is to keep in contact with fellow users in the future if someday the forum ever goes down or other issues arise. Thank you for your cooperation.

I will start by letting you guys know how to find me outside of this forum.

I am on facebook as Jameson Feterl

My email is JFT_14@hotmail.com

Also: I grew up in the small town of Salem, pop. 1300. Which is in the state of South Dakota, in the USA.
I went to McCook Central High School which is the only high school in Salem. My senior year of high school I joined the Army National Guard and after I graduated from high school in May 2004 I did my military training in Ft. Leonard Wood, in the state of Missourii. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Army National Guard and the Active Army in the USA, the national guard is sort of a reserve military which has monthly meetings and is a part-time service, where you can get called upon to be full-time active duty in the time of war if you are needed.
The nice thing about the national guard is that you can hold a regualar civilian job or go to college, since your military service is part time.
So upon completing my military training in October 2004, I went to futhur my education at a Technical college. In 2007, completed a two-year degree in Laser/Electro-optics, and then went to the same college for another degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, completed in May 2008. It was around this time that I found out about SImtractor, and started by playing version 4.0. In the months follwoing, I purchased V4.1 when it came out.
I moved to Storm Lake, Iowa where I got a job as a Biomedical Technician repairing dilaysis machines for kidney patients. I was responsible for all the maintenance of the machines which included electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatics, so there was a wide variety of components to deal with. In early 2009 I created my first layout for ST, which was the only American map to my knowledge. I called it "Midwestern Farm" since there was no other Midwestern layouts available. Also in early 2009 I moved to a 3-acre farm acreage. I chose to live on an acreage because it reminded me of being on my grandfather's farm when I was young boy. He auctioned the farm in 1993 so I never got a chance to farm, which was my dream...my dad planned to move us out to the farm and take over part of it, but my mother would never allow such a move to the country.....so we stayed in town which depressed me for many years. That was when grandpa auctioned all of his International harvestor machines, and the rest soon after.
But anyway, I enjoyed living on the acreage in Iowa, and was beggining to re-birth my dream of farming since I spent a lot of time at my neighbor's farm, he used mostly John Deere, I will never forget riding in his 4020 JD...
But then my dream was once again cut short, when the economy recession kicking in during 2008 and 2009. I was laid off from my job at the dialysis center and was forced to move back to South Dakota with my parents because I could not find another job in my career feild.
After moving back to Salem I worked temporarily at my cousin's gas station for awhile. This was fun because I spent some time talking to local farmers and got to watch them drive by during harvest time on their way to the grain elevator which was across the street. At some point in late 2009 or early 2010 I remeber revising my Midwestern layout untill I eventually settled on Midwestern Farm V1.04 of my layout. I stopped making layouts because there was not many people still playing ST and few people were using my layout, I was very disapointed because my layout was one of the most extravagent layouts ever made. Perhaps many people did not own good enough PC's to run my layouts, I dont know, or maybe few people wanted an American layout...
I decided since I was only working part time at the gas station, perhaps I should furthur my education even more. I took my two associates degrees and decided to pursue a bachelor degree in management. I chose a simple management degree because a management degree can be used almost anywhere including the trades which my associates degrees where in.
By this time I had re-inlisted for another 6 year term in the National Guard, and since I had not been called up for active duty yet I assumed I would see if I could make another six year term without a deployment to the middle east, where many of my freinds were at the time.
Since I was working part time and going to school online, I had a really flexable schedule. I purchased ST V3.66, and having purchased 4.1 and 4.0 already in the past, I now had copies of all three. I backed them up on a CD which was good decision since 4.0 is not available anymore.
Finally, in November 2010, I found a different job in a nearby city. I commute to this job which is in the nearby city of Sioux Falls. The company is called Daktronics, which is manufacturer of LED displays. My responsibilities include final quality testing of the LED displays and reparing displays which are not functioning properly. Again, a lot of electronics, which is my second love to farming.
It is now March of 2011 as I type this, and I hope I did not bore anyone with my dry topic. I just want to get to know you all while you are still here. Hope to talk to you all again, and have fun playing ST.

Hello!

About my history of SimTractor, I'm going to tell another time... Wink
On Facebook my name is Joseph Demmelmaier. (Blendtec guy in profile picture.) Skype username: battlefield2.2
I have my own YouTube channel. So if someone of you also has an YouTube channel (SchlueterST) it would be very nice to contact. http://www.youtube.com/schlueterst I will also upload some SimTractor videos on it, but I want to make them good, so it will take some time. Wink
I'm still creating the SimTractor 4.1 map for "the other game". The project is called "A Tribute To Ben". Even if the thread is deleted, I'm still working on it.

MFG

Wow, nice to see you ben, still "hanging around" in the forum. Smile
But it would be nice for us to know a little bit more, how it will go on.
Will the shop or the forum be closed? It would be nice if you would let us know this...

MFG

I don't plan to close the shop or forum at all... The forum is a good way to keep the history of SimTractor.

And about the shop, the company (ST Diffusions) is selling diecast models over the world now..
Every week, a new model is available. The 1/32 models are at the top for now. They are expensive, but we try to make the best prices.

Best,

Ben

uhhh I think me and a lot of other people here are very, very happy about this news! Thank you very much ben for answering this questions!
And for the shop, it would be good if the shipping cost would be a bit lower.
But about the future of SimTractor, I'm going to ask another time... Wink

Anywhere, thanks for this wonderful news.
See you soon in the forum!

Iceman, he is refering to Version 4.0, the link you gave us is to Version 4.107

4.0 (Four-point-zero) is no longer available. That link is for Four-point-one-zero-seven.

These two Versions had differences in the maps, and some machines were added as well.

Well i may as well do this as well can't be any harm in doing so...

Name: Andrew John Blair more commonly called Drew

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=639139458

Food: Steak and beef

Drink: homepress cider, guiness and real ale

Music: American country such as craig morgan, jason aldean and a bit of green day and some Irish bits and pieces.

Car: : Land drover discovery, toyota hilux

History and life:

January 2008 I joined the local air training core of which I am now a trained sniper for after passing all the tests and qualifications. I am currently at the rank of seargent but moving up to flight seargent by the end of this year if everything rolls on smoothly. I am also trained in demolitions and bomb disarmament. I have been a farmer all of my life today and at the age of nearly 16 have loved every second to date even the downs as well as the ups of which there have been plenty of, i have no intentions of ever stopping the farmlife as I will die on the farm in my workboots and wouldn't have it any other way. On the farm i specialise in the contracting department such as the silaging and the manure spreading. We farm roughly 300 acres which is of a reasonable size for the local area. But back to me my father is Scottish and my mother is English but I like to think of myself being more Scottish than anything else.

I don't have a huge variety of hobbies my main hobby is shooting, being in the core as a trained sniper means i get the chance to fire a variety of different weapons including the cheytac intervention and the Barrett 50 cal these have to be the most amazing weapons I have ever fired well worth the go if you have the chance. (best way to create maximum destruction in minimal time)

As for Simtractor I gave up playing roughly a year ago and there is nothing I would like more than to be able to get back in the saddle and give her another try, so Ben I am going to give you the ilustrious question.....Is there going to be another Simtractor?

And well done Schlueter on the new "other game map" should be a good craic.

Nice, you like. But the problem is I used the original textures of SimTractor. So I don't think I will get the permission to release it...
But if this is the problem: I could also rebuild the textures. (But this doesn't give the real ST feeling I want)

MFG
